Heather is a freelance adventure filmmaker and photographer based in Squamish, BC, chasing rock and snow as the seasons dictate. She combines her creativity with a deep respect for mountains and the natural world, and aims to tell stories that matter that both inspire people, and effect positive change in the world.
With an undergraduate degree in Biology from Queen’s University and a teaching degree from New Zealand, Heather always had a camera in hand but it wasn’t until she moved to BC that she discovered filmmaking.
When she’s not behind the camera (or in the edit suite), Heather is either out climbing and exploring the mountains, or dreaming about the next trip or creative project. In 2015 she received a grant from the Jen Higgins Fund of the Alpine Club of Canada to explore the Tombstone range in the Yukon on skis.
Heather loves lunch, hot tea, and all three types of fun, and gets the most stoked about being on the move with everything she needs in a backpack (or the back of the car).
